Times School of Media, Bennett University<\/strong> is proud to present a Child Rights Workshop titled \u201cOur Digital World, Our Say\u201d<\/strong>, a global consultation with children on their rights in the digital environment.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Children today grow up as digital natives. From online learning platforms and social media to gaming and creative expression, the internet plays a critical role in their everyday lives. While digital spaces offer opportunities for learning, participation, and innovation, they also expose children to risks related to privacy, safety, exclusion, and misuse of data.<\/span><\/p>

Despite being the primary stakeholders of the digital world, children\u2019s perspectives are often underrepresented in policy discussions and platform design. Our Digital World, Our Say<\/em> seeks to address this gap by creating a structured and inclusive space where children can articulate their experiences, concerns, and aspirations related to the online world.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

This workshop series is organised in collaboration with leading international institutions working at the intersection of child rights, digital governance, and public policy, including:<\/span><\/p>\n

    Digital Futures for Children (LSE)<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    5Rights Foundation<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  • \n

    United Nations Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (UN OHCHR)<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Together, these organisations bring global expertise and a rights-based framework to ensure that children\u2019s voices meaningfully inform discussions around digital environments.<\/span><\/p>\n

    The primary aim of the workshop is to empower children to speak about their online experiences and actively participate in shaping a safer, fairer, and more inclusive digital world. Specifically, the workshop seeks to:<\/span><\/p>\n

      Create a safe and participatory space for children to share their lived digital experiences<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    • \n

      Encourage reflection on key themes such as access, privacy, safety, and participation<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    • \n

      Enable children to identify challenges they face online and propose practical recommendations<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    • \n

      Promote a child-centred, rights-respecting approach to digital policy and practice<\/span><\/p>\n

      The workshop series will commence in <\/span>January 2026, <\/strong>and convened by faculty members from the Times School of Media, Bennett University:<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
