Adolescence: Algorithm-ing a monoculture

When I was a child, I used to come back from school and rush straight to a room upstairs, spending a lot of time there, like Jamie of Netflix’s Adolescence. I had a Computer, Yahoo Messenger and Orkut. Perhaps, that’s the difference between Jamie and me. This 13 years old and others like him have a lot more. They have technology with sophisticated design, multiple platforms offering extended user experience. However, that’s not the only difference. I was still privileged to have resolved a lot of fights with my friends in a playground. Jamie and others have virtual grounds.
